About St Bernards Day Nursery

We are open Monday to Friday, all year except for Bank holidays and Christmas week. You can drop off your child at any time during your session times. We are also able to offer 15 and 30 funded hours Nursery Education grant to your child in the term after they are three years old. Our staff have a variety of qualifications, including:

• BA in Primary Practice

• Foundation Degree in childhood studies,

• NNEB, CACHE Diploma/Certificate in Child Care Education

• NVQ’s in Child Care and Education

This ensures they deliver a curriculum which encourages your child to be confident, motivated learner and thinker. Our staff are also first aid trained and have Food Hygiene certificates. We are registered and inspected by OFSTED (Office for Standards in Education), making us eligible for government funding for your children over three. The nursery and all staff meet their requirements.

We have an open door policy at the nursery and you are welcome to join in activities or to discuss their child's needs. ‘Learning Journey’ files are kept on all children to record their development and plan for their next steps. Any observations and information about your child are most welcome. Co-operation between the nursery and parents is essential for your child's all round development and to make their stay at nursery a happy time.
